Covid-19 and Amazon FBA Shutdown

We’ve all been dealing with the Wuhan Virus in various ways. I hope you are all in good health.

Sandi and I are hunkered down on the farm and limiting our travels and shopping. We were content to rely on Amazon FBA to supplement income, reduced, maybe, but steady.

To our great joy, yesterday was double of the last couple weeks’ average sales! Hooray!!!

As we were getting ready to head to the basement to get some FBA shipping of our lower stock items, we find this notice in Amazon Central, and several FaceBook groups’ posts…

“…We are seeing increased online shopping, and as a result some products such as household staples and medical supplies are out of stock. With this in mind, we are temporarily prioritizing household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so that we can more quickly receive, restock, and deliver these products to customers.

For products other than these, we have temporarily disabled shipment creation. We are taking a similar approach with retail vendors…”

Amazon Seller Central Notifications

YIKES!

None of our products fall into their priority list. We are toast!

We will be listing several Merchant Fulfilled for our best sellers. We will also list more on eBay and Etsy.

Gotta keep business alive, just as we are keeping ourselves alive and healthy.

OR, we might just work on the farm, planting gardens, weeding gardens, or just general maintenance.

How is the virus impacting your business, and what are you doing about it?

Stay healthy.
