A few months ago, Amazon announced a new feature for Brand Registry FBA Sellers: Virtual Bundles.
I’ve known about them since then, but only recently took at a look for a client. Virtual Bundles really look useful for those of us with several ASINs in FBA that look to be complimentary.
In a typical Bundle scenario, you have or find 2 or more products that go together, and you create a brand new listing for them, package them together, and send them in to FBA. This usually requires new photos, a title, description, etc. The biggest hurdle is the UPC code or GTIN Exemption. (GTIN = Global Trade Item Number.)
Then, figure out how to package and label it, and then send it in.
A Typical Way to Find What to Bundle
When my clients ask, “How do I know what to bundle? I need some creativity.”
I usually respond by saying, “Sell what’s already selling.”
And then I point them to any typical Item Catalog Page.
By scrolling down the page a bit, Amazon tells you what and how to bundle.
Find the “Frequently Bought Together” section.
BOOM!
Amazon told you what to bundle.
Now, Source the items, create the Bundle and Listing, and you’re golden.
Also, by scrolling a bit farther, Amazon will show you more obscure Bundle recommendations.
Find: “Customers who bought this item also bought”. and you’l get more ideas if what and how to bundle.
There Is a New Way
There is a new way to get this all done, and Amazon does most of it for you.
With the Virtual Bundle, you are able to combine 2 to 5 of your Existing ASINs into a Bundle, complete with its own ASIN and product page. Nothing to do on your part except to create it.

The problem is that the items you want to bundle must already be located in Amazon Fulfillment Centers to get this treatment.
The Amazon Help article for Virtual Bundles states that the number of Virtual Bundles available will be based on the least quantity of the components.
This means you don’t have to worry about running out. Amazon adjusts Bundle availability as the individual items sell.

I’m going to Find and List a couple of Virtual Bundles with our existing ASINs.
I won’t have to Ship It, because Amazon already has them.
Then I’ll Repeat.
